What We're About...
WOMEN IN
ELECTRONICS is a non-profit organization founded to provide a professional
network for women in all phases of the electronic industry. Membership is comprised
of engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, sales, secretarial, administrative, and
managerial personnel.
A forum for the exchange of information is provided through our monthly meetings.
Different topics are explored to offer members a broad spectrum of the electronics
industry. New products and approaches are presented to keep everyone abreast of the
ever-present changes in our field. Technical discussions are presented by various
professionals within the industry, giving us a better understanding of the complexities
and challenges of their respective positions.
In a continuing effort to encourage and support women in our field, we have established a
scholarship program to provide educational assistance to bright, promising females in the
study of electronics. Based upon academic excellence and financial need, scholarships are
awarded to qualified women in local colleges and universities. Funding for this
program comes from proceeds of our local fund raisers and from corporate sponsorship.
